Familiar pics is an album of family memories.

In Familiar pics: family on board, the stereotype shapes of family members censor and substitute the charachers of the images. The collage appropriates the images, creating a tension between familiarity and otherness.

Familiar pics takes shape from an archive composed by images, videos, advertising, tutorial, logos, operating instructions, historical documents. The rielaboration of these etherogeneous materials questions the role of images in cultural narration, the aesthetic normativity, the explotation of emotionality by mass-media.

The frames are transformed in hybrid bodies. They are a coagulation of daily elements, memories, scraps, remains of animals and plants forms of life.
